This year will be a transition time for me as I will be leaving my post as Executive Director of the Society for Conservation Biology as of 31 July, 2013 upon completion of the ICCB meeting in Baltimore.
During the intervening months I will be working closely with the Board of Governors to continue to implement our important organizational initiatives and to assist in ensuring a smooth transition to a new Executive Director.
I am very proud of the work we have accomplished together during my tenure at SCB and look forward to the opportunity to enter into a new phase of my career. I send best wishes for SCB’s continued success and thank you for the opportunity to serve the Society. A Search Committee chaired by incoming SCB President Rodrigo Medellin will conduct a global search for the new Executive Director.
