Description:

The Services Glass Washer collects, washes, dries, and sterilizes all glassware and laboratory supplies.



Job Responsibilities:

Operate washing and sterilization equipment such as an autoclave to ensure the proper care of laboratory glassware.
Distribute clean and sterile glassware to areas within the laboratory.
Maintain inventory of glassware and glass-washing supplies; order and replace items as needed.
May collect and sterilize lab coats, scrubs, and related items.
May handle bio hazard waste for decontamination.
May include inspections of safety showers, first aid kits and various other safety items.
Job Requirements:

Strong communication skills
Excellent customer service skills; display a professional can-do attitude
High regard for safety, quality, and site/customer protocols, policies and procedures
Must be flexible, motivated, and have the ability to act independently
Must be able to safely lift 50lbs minimum
Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances and medical checkups.


Desired Experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
1-3 years glass wash experience preferred and/or applicable work experience
