China Government Scholarship for International Students (Summer 2013)

Beijing Forestry University (BFU) is currently offering funded positions for international students wishing to study in China, under the Chinese Scholarship Scheme: http://en.csc.edu.cn/Laihua/. Scholarships (full or partial) are available for suitable candidates who wish to study for either an MSc or PhD degree in the College of Nature Conservation. In addition to tuition fees and subsistence, the scholarship will also include funding for an intensive Chinese language course during the first year.

Details about the Beijing Forestry University could be found on website: http://www.bjfu.edu.cn/english/, and the MSc / PhD possibilities in the College of Nature Conservation focus on the aspects as below:

• Wildlife Ecology (particularly wild felids and prey species)
• Conflicts between large carnivores and human being
• Ecosystem services and management cross over protected areas and surrounding lands

A full scholarship will provide:

• All university fees, (tuition, laboratory and materials)
• On-campus accommodation
• Stipendiary living expenses (MSc: 1,700 RMB per month; PhD: 2,000 RMB per month)
• One-off settlement costs for arrival to China
• Comprehensive medical health insurance

Partial scholarship may include any combinations of elements from the full scholarship, where appropriate.
