Subject: Graduate Student Science Policy Leadership Award

The American Society of Mammalogists is recruiting applicants for this award. Recipents will receive an expense-paid trip to Washington, D. C. to participate in public policy training and a Congressional Visits Day. Recipients will meet with federal agency scientists and Congressional policy makers. It provides graduate students with incredibly valuable networking opportunities and outreach experience for furthering their careers and diversifying their skills in the natural sciences. Prior recipients of the award have gone on to successul careers in academia, public policy, agency research, and teaching.
