The Freshwater Working Group (FWG) was formed in 2003 to support the conservation of freshwater resources through the capacity of the Society for Conservation Biology. The group has established goals and met several times as well as organized symposia on freshwater issues. With an international following, the FWG should present interesting new developments in the future.
