YWCB Award Winners
The Africa Section proudly presents past winners of the Young Women Conservation Biologists Award.
- Leela Hazzah (2011). Leela is the director of Lion Guardians in Kenya.
- Shivani Bhalla (2009). Shivani is a Kenyan conservation biologist working on elephant and lion conservation in human-occupied landscapes.
- Kristal Maze (2008). Kristal, from Sount Africa, is Chief Director of Biodiversity Planning and Mainstreaming.
- Margaret Aanyu (2007). Margaret is a freshwater biologist from Uganda
Award-winners are honored at SCB's International Congresses for Conservtion Biology. SCB and its Africa Section are proud and fortunate to have conservation biologists with such passion and energy in our midst.
