2007 MN SCB ANNUAL MEETING & RETREAT

Thank you to everyone for a very successful meeting!!

Conservation on Working Lands

A Conference and Annual Meeting of the MN Society for Conservation Biology
February 22-24, 2007
Audubon Center of the North Woods

From the Minnesota Energy Bill to the U.S. Farm Bill, impending state and
federal policies will impact conservation not only on public lands, but also where
people live, work, and play. This is an opportunity for leaders within the
Minnesota conservation community to explore how these policies will influence
conservation efforts across the state, to strategize ways of incorporating the
principles and values of Conservation Biology into the public decision-making
process, and to begin developing the necessary tools to advance MN SCB's
work in this critical area. Come and be a part of these exciting conversations!

Keynote Speakers include:
Rod Sando (Former Commissioner of MN DNR; Former Director of Idaho Fish and Game
Commission; and Director of Columbia River Fish and Wildlife Authority)
Michael Noble (Founder and Executive Director of Fresh-Energy)
Laura Jackson (Professor, University of Northern Iowa; co-editor of Farm as Natural Habitat)
