Dormitory
Housing
A number of dormitory rooms will be available for SCB participants
on the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) campus and possibly
the University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) campus. Dormitory rooms
at UWS will be made available once the UMD block has been filled.
A shuttle service to the campuses will be provided several times
during the day throughout the conference. The shuttle schedule for
the conference will be posted to this Web site as soon as it is
available.
University of Minnesota Duluth Residence Hall Accommodations
Rooms are standard residence hall rooms with shared bathroom facilities
on each floor and are designed for two-person occupancy. Provisions
include: two single beds, linens, towels and washcloths, dressers,
desks and chairs, compact refrigerator, telephone with local service
and programmable wake up call capability. Rooms are not air conditioned.
- Located approximately 3 miles from the DECC.
- Smoking is prohibited in all campus housing facilities.
- Facilities are fully handicapped accessible.
- Food service on the UMD campus is available for a fee.
- Taxi fare from the Duluth International Airport to the UMD
campus is approximately $15.
- Room cost is $48 per room per night for 1 or 2 persons. Reservations
are based on double occupancy. Participants wanting to share
a room are responsible for finding their own roommate, and may
wish to check out the
