SCB is pleased to welcome Gwenaële Coat and William Hughes to SCB's staff. Gwen will assist with coordination of global and regional SCB meetings, and Will will help support SCB's growing administrative and operations support functions. Both will be based at SCB's Executive Office.

Gwen holds a Master's degree in scientific communications from Université Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, France. She previously served as a meeting coordinator for the French National Science Research Center in Paris. Gwen has expertise in developing themes and agendas for meetings and workshops. She also is skilled at selecting and coordinating research presentations to the general public by diverse, internationally recognized scientists. Gwen has a strong background in biology, including a post-graduate degree in marine biology, a graduate degree in oceanography, and a bachelor's degree in population biology, and she is fluent in French. Gwen can be reached at gcoat@conbio.org or 1 703 276-2384 x 104.

Will is a decorated serviceman who served as an airborne ranger medic and non-commissioned officer in the United States, Germany, and Bosnia. After an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 1998, Will directed his passion for conservation and his considerable organizational and logistical skills toward work as a publications assistant at The Nature Conservancy. Will received a bachelor's degree in geography from Auburn University in 1985. He can be reached at whughes@conbio.org or 1 703 276-2384 x 103.
