EDUCATION COMMITTEE NEWS
The SCB Education Committee is putting together a web site on educational resources for conservation biology. The target audiences for this site are teachers looking for information on educational tools and students seeking educational opportunities. Please send us links to relevant web pages in the following categories:
- graduate programs in conservation biology
- undergraduate programs in conservation biology
- undergraduate courses in conservation biology
- curricular material (lesson plans, projects) on conservation biology topics intended for the K-12 level
- curricular material (exercises) on conservation biology intended for undergraduates
- continuing education courses or programs in conservation biology intended for any audience (e.g., adult education, natural resource managers)
- publications of interest to conservation biology educators
The SCB Education Committee is not creating web pages for these projects. Rather, we are collating links to relevant web-based resources in order to increase their accessibility to educators or students who are looking for information or support. Therefore, the most important information you can send is the link to your suggested resource's web page. Feel free also to include one or two sentences describing the resource, which we will include on the SCB Education Resources web pages.
Forward suggestions to Steve Trombulak, Committee Chair trombula@middlebury.edu
