REGIONAL JOINT MEETING WITH ISEE

The fifth biennial meeting of the International Society for Ecological Economics, Beyond Growth: Policies and Institutions for Sustainability, will be held 15-19 November 1998 in Santiago, Chile. The meeting is co-sponsored by the SCB and will serve as a regional SCB meeting. The conference will include technical and panel discussion sessions, thematic contributed paper sessions, display area presentations, tutorials, pre- and post-conference workshops, field trips, and institutional visits. Key topics will include sustainability of long-run growth, institutional frameworks for environmental problems, business and the environment, globalization and sustainability, finance for sustainable development, sustainable consumption patterns, and land use planning.
