The Yellowstone Institute, a private, non-profit organization operating in partnership with Yellowstone National Park, offers more than 85 two- to five-day field courses annually. Courses are taught at the Institute's facilities in the remote northeastern section of the park and in the backcountry. Topics include natural and cultural history, journal keeping, writing, and photography. Class tuition fees average about US$45-50 per day. Many courses are offered for graduate, undergraduate, or recertification credit.
