
Vision, Mission, and Objetives
Vision
The Association for Conservation Biology – Bolivia, an organization conformed by professional leaders in the study and conservation of the biodiversity, will promote a country where people understand, value, and conserve the diversity of life.
Mission
To promote services oriented to the generation of knowledge, giving alternatives for an economically profitable and environmentally and culturally sustainable development. A sustainable development would be possible by highly qualified projects which will include humans. Furthermore, services will be developed with a high ethical professional frame; generating scientific information, innovating and transferring knowledge, and respecting the ethnic diversity and the environment.
Objective
To develop interdisciplinary and qualified activities oriented to the conservation of biodiversity, as a response to the interests and necessities of societies; contributing to the generation of policies and public actions.
Secondary objectives
- To develop, promote, and divulgate pure and applied investigation in conservation biology, ecology, and related fields.
- To foment the sustainable management of natural resources as a result of recovering traditional knowledge and training local groups in the management of natural resources.
- To develop and promote environmental education programs oriented to create environmental conscience on the general public.
- To promote a forum of knowledge and involvement in subjects of local and regional conservation of biodiversity.
- To provide technical-scientific elements as a contribution to support initiatives and experiences of ecoturism in the country.
- To Participate with scientific knowledge in the proposal and revision of environmental policies.
