Airport and City Banking
The University campus has a limited range of banking facilities. All those delegates
arriving over the weekend are advised to change the money they need upon arrival
at the airport. There is a wide range of banks and opportunities for changing foreign
currency in the City of Canterbury, many of which are open over the weekend.
Campus Banking
Barclays Bank
Barclays is open from 0930 to 1630 on Mondays to Fridays, except for Wednesdays
when it is open from 1000 to 1630. The campus branch is situated in the Banking Complex.
The campus branch accepts most foreign currencies. No commission is charged for changing
foreign currencies for students holding a Barclays Student Account. Everyone else
is charged commission is charged for changing foreign currencies.
There is an ATM situated outside the bank that provides a 24 hour service.
National Westminster Bank
National Westminster is open from 0930 to 1530 on Mondays to Fridays, except
for Wednesdays when it is open from 1000 to 1650. The campus branch is situated in
the Banking Complex.
The campus branch does NOT accept foreign currencies.
There is an ATM situated outside the bank that provides a 24 hour service.
HSBC
There is an ATM situated outside the Students Union, known also as The Venue,
that provides a 24 hour service.
