NOTE: As many of you may be aware, the SCB websites experienced unusual downtime over the last few weeks. Our websites are now live and available to serve you; however many pages are still offline and will not load correctly (you will see an error that reads "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect" -- we are aware of these problems. We are dealing with a SQL Injection attack. These types of attacks are known to exploit website vulnerabilities with the intent of distributing viruses and malware. We are working to correct the problems and clean up the data corruption this has caused. Thank you for your patience while we work through this problem. More information is available here.
SCB Publications

AFFILIATE PUBLICATIONS OF THE SCB

In conjunction with the mission of the Society for Conservation Biology, we partner with journals that supplement our publications by providing additional resources in conservation science. We strive to offer these publications all in one place for your convenience and ease; therefore, you only have to renew in one place! Some Affiliate publications are offered to members at discounted rates while others are not. We hope that by including these publications your work to get information will be minimized and your resources maximized.

Things to know before choosing SCB Affiliate publications...

  • Membership is not included with Affiliate publications. If you do not also subscribe to Conservation Biology or Conservation magazine you must purchase Membership alone for only $20.00.
  • All of our Affiliates are Annual. This means that your subscription is filled for an entire year; if you subscribe in March you will be sent all previous issues and then new ones as they come out. We will report your order to the publisher on a set schedule determined by the Executive Office. This could mean some delay between the time your order is placed and the arrival of your first issue and any back issues. If you have any questions, please email our Membership Coordinator.
  • SCB does not track expiration of your affiliate publications. As much as we would like to offer all conveniences to our members, sometimes we cannot. Members are responsible for renewing their Affiliates each year as they see fit. These publications will be offered on your renewal form.

Biological Conservation

Pacific Conservation Biology

Biological Conservation has as its main purpose the widest dissemination of original papers dealing with the preservation of wildlife and the conservation or wise use of biological and allied natural resources. It is concerned with plants and animals and their habitats in a changing and increasingly man–dominated biosphere – in fresh and salt waters as well as on land and in the atmosphere.
Pacific Conservation Biology is a journal dedicated to conservation and wildlife management in the Pacific region. Papers on any aspect of conservation research or management are welcome. Papers describing research results should conclude with a section outlining the implications for management or management-related research.
